Celebration of the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Pullman Families,

We would like to invite you to join in our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15), and in celebration of the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) holiday which is celebrated Nov. 1 & 2. Please join us on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 4-6pm as we celebrate with music, activities, snacks, student art display, altar, and more.

Día de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated throughout Latin America and around the world in many other cultures. It brings together groups of people to honor and celebrate friends and family members who have passed on. Come out and learn more about Dia de los Muertos and celebrate with us.

We are asking students who would like to participate in the schoolwide altar to bring in a photo of a loved one they would like to remember during this time. The photo will be placed on and alter that will be set up in the Pullman Auditorium for display.  We will not keep the original photo.  A photocopy will be made and the original photo will be sent back home. You can also email a photo to Ms. Chico at [email protected]. We are asking for all photos to be brought in by no later than Monday, Oct. 24, to allow for preparation time.

We look forward to celebrating with you all.
